The room at Settlers Lodge in Otterburn was absolutely amazing! It had 2 bathrooms, one with a shower and the other with a hot tub. I mean, who doesn't love having options? As a backpacker, it felt like a little slice of luxury in the middle of my adventure.
I gotta say though, as much as I loved everything about the room, I wasn't quite sold on the hot tub. It's just not my thing, you know?

Access to a terrace, tennis court, and free WiFi made our stay at this holiday home even more enjoyable. We had a great time playing tennis and relaxing on the terrace, taking in the beautiful surroundings.
Limited restaurant options nearby.

The lodge was absolutely stunning, with impeccable cleanliness and attention to detail. The fully equipped kitchen was a great bonus, and the lovely welcome basket upon arrival was a delightful surprise. The location of the lodge was remote, but it was only a short 15-20 minute walk into the nearby village. We especially enjoyed the beautiful woodland walks right at our doorstep and the abundance of wildlife, such as adorable red squirrels. the lodge was well-situated and had everything we needed for a fantastic Easter getaway.
It would have been nice to have proper wine glasses instead of plastic ones, especially for dining. Additionally, it would have been helpful to be informed in advance about the need to book restaurants, as the only one within walking distance was often fully booked.

Recently stayed at Settlers Lodge for a few days and had a wonderful experience. The lodge itself is stunning, impeccably clean, and filled with thoughtful touches. The kitchen is fully equipped, and the welcome basket was a lovely surprise. Karen, the host, was delightful to communicate with. The location is remote but still within a short walk to the village, where we enjoyed fantastic food at Otterburn Mill. The lodge is surrounded by beautiful woodland, perfect for scenic walks and wildlife sightings. The lounge and beds were comfortable, and overall, the lodge was well-equipped and peaceful. Highly recommended.

The Settlers Lodge in Otterburn was amazing! The room was fab, had 2 bathrooms with a shower and a hot tub. It was like having a spa in our own hotel room. Loved it!
The only downside was that there was no swimming pool. But hey, some people might not even care about that.

We had a fantastic stay at Settlers Lodge. The lodge itself was absolutely beautiful, with a spotlessly clean interior and thoughtful attention to detail. The fully equipped kitchen made cooking a breeze, and the welcome basket upon arrival was a lovely touch. Karen, the contact person, was extremely pleasant to deal with and ensured our comfort throughout our stay. The lodge is situated in a remote location, but it's only a short 15-20 minute walk to the village. We enjoyed delicious meals at Otterburn Mill, which far surpassed the lackluster food served at the nearby coach house. The lodge is surrounded by picturesque woodland, offering delightful walks and plenty of wildlife sightings, including adorable red squirrels right by our lodge. The location on the site was also ideal.

The room was amazing, like a dream! I felt like a VIP with the two bathrooms - one with a shower and the other with a hot tub. It was perfect for our family, especially with the two small kids.
Personally, I wasn't a big fan of the design in the bathroom. Others might still find it appealing though.
